Letter of Recommendation

   Job Reference Letter — Sales

To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I strongly recommend ______________ for a sales position. I directly supervised him at XYZ Company, and was continually impressed with how he not only got the job done, but came up with innovative ways to increase sales while building long-term relationships and good will with clients.

_______________ is one of the most driven, dedicated sales representatives I have ever met. He has a competitive spirit, but never stoops to "low blows" to get a client. Always with an eye on the long-term, his goal is to seek out and engage businesses whose services are a good fit with our readers. During the two years he worked under me, __________ set the department sales record during five quarters.

One time, during a sales meeting, the name of a former client came up in conversation. It was a firm that had pulled its advertising from our publication following an embarrassing miscommunication with a former employee. ______________ quickly volunteered to take up the challenge of winning this client back. Indeed, he succeeded where others had failed and truly earned his commission on that account and then some!

_____________ is polished and engaging without appearing slick or rehearsed-both qualities that are hard to come by in sales representatives. He is fun to be around, and never seems to run out of energy. He has a great sense of humor, too, having (just as one example) written several tongue-in-cheek motivational sales songs he sang, accompanied by guitar, at company parties.

I miss having _____________ on my sales team and would hire him again in a heartbeat. Please feel free to call or email me if you would like more information.

Sincerely,
